Hey! I'm a professional button accordion player with nearly a decade of experience touring and recording for regional Mexican artists. Students of mine can expect to have a personalized experience like no other, both in Spanish and English. I truly believe in adapting my course not only to your skill level, but also your musical interests and passions.

The accordion fills me with passion, and I believe wholeheartedly in sharing all my knowledge to keep this beautiful instrument alive and breathing for many generations to come.

El acordeón me emociona muchísimo y creo con todo mi corazon enseñar todo lo que conozco, para si seguir cultivando este hermoso instrumento para las generaciones que se vienen.

Casi una decade de experienca acompañado y grabando con artistas del regional mexicano. Cualquier edad y nivel musical está bienvenido! Me adaptare a su nivel musical y también a sus pasiones musicales. A la misma vez nunca olvidándonos de los fundamentos como las escalas y teoría. 

Alejandro is a good teacher! I’m just getting started with the basics but it’s fun and I feel like I’m learning, now it’s all about practice! 

Very knowledgeable ! Immediately after my first lesson I booked more because I finally found the ideal accordion teacher for the Norteño genre 

Great instruction! Easy to follow, knowledgeable, and makes learning the accordion fun. Definitely recommend to anyone who is serious about learning the accordion.

I've been wanting to learn how to play the accordion for years. I took me a while to convince myself to get started; and took my first step by buying a beginner accordion online. I purchased books, pre-recorded webinars, took a community college music class, and watched a bunch of youtube videos.... but never was able to really learn and move up in my skill level. Then I did some research online and found Alejandro R. 

I was a bit reluctant at first to take a lessons virtually since I learn best in person. However, the one on one sessions with Alejandro are almost like being in person even though we are across state lines. Alejandro was probably an elementary school teacher in another life because he does very well in teaching an adult learner like me. He is patient, ensures my questions are answered, has lesson plans ready, and reviews homework. 

In addition to having good coach/ tutor skills, I very much appreciate that we have similar Mexican-American backgrounds and can relate to each others music interest. We also speak in spanglish which is a must considering the type of music I want to learn to play, the instrument, and my learning needs.  

I highly recommend taking Alejandro's classes.

Llevo años queriendo aprender a tocar el acordeón. Me tomó un tiempo convencerme yo misma de empezar y di mi primer paso comprando un acordeón para principiantes por el internet. Compré libros, cursos pre grabados, tomé una clase de música en un colegio comunitario y vi un montón de videos de YouTube... pero nunca pude aprender realmente. Luego investigué un poco en línea y encontré a Alejandro R.

Al principio estaba un poco nerviosa en tomar sesiones virtuales ya que aprendo mejor en persona. Sin embargo, las sesiones individuales con Alejandro son casi como estar en persona a pesar de que estamos en estados diferentes. Alejandro probablemente fue maestro de escuela primaria en otra vida porque hace muy bien enseñando a una estudiante adulta como yo. Es paciente, se asegura de que mis preguntas sean respondidas, tiene planes de lecciones listas y revisa la tarea. 

Además de tener buenas habilidades de entrenador/tutor, aprecio mucho que tengamos antecedentes mexicano-estadounidenses similares y que podamos relacionarnos con nuestro interés musical. También hablamos en spanglish, lo cual es para mi importante teniendo en cuenta el tipo de música que quiero aprender a tocar, el instrumento y mis necesidades de aprendizaje.

Recomiendo 100% tomar las clases de Alejandro.

My first lesson was great. We established goals based on my experience as a student of the accordion, and we set a path to meet those goals can’t wait for our next session.

First time taking this class, Alejandro was really patient and made me feel comfortable right away. Great tips and went over some of the basics. WORTH THE TIME 🤘🏼
