We will introduce and learn the difference between prepositions "in", "on", and "at". This lesson is appropriate for beginner to intermediate learners of the English language, as well as those who want extra practice with prepositions and sentence formation.

To make the learning interactive and fun, we will look at visuals and practice these prepositions in sentences. Resources for additional practice are included.

English (ESL)

Learning a language takes time and effort, but it doesn't have to feel like work. Learning should be fun, exciting, and motivating. We can enjoy the process, see the strides we make along the way, and appreciate “mistakes” as a step in the right direction.

Growing up bilingual, I have always had an appreciation for language and culture. This appreciation grew as I began learning new languages, and continued to grow as I completed my Master's degree and began to study what happens in your brain when you speak, read, write, and listen to language. My therapeutic background allows me a deep understanding of how to help each individual, whether through therapy, coaching, or language learning. From this, I have discovered that my passion lies in language-teaching, and I have been able to practice effective learning strategies and implement these methods in my sessions with students. 

I have experience working as an English and German teacher in Germany, teaching to kids and adults of varying levels and language goals. I hold a bachelor's degree in Language as well as a Masters degree which I obtained in Germany. I also have experience working with diverse populations including those with learning difficulties. I have been ranked top 5% of language instructors for the past several years on multiple platforms. I have taught language-learning methods to language students, business organizations, immigrants, and other individuals, applying scientifically-proven strategies to various aspects of learning. 

I structure courses to meet the specific needs of the students in order for students to get the most out of the learning experience. My expertise lies in the areas of business language, grammar, proofreading, reading and writing, speaking and listening, vocabulary building, conversation, career development, and building confidence in language skills. I am only a few months in to learning German and I find Lisa makes the lessons very practical incorporating new vocabulary, proper pronunciation, and grammar rules. Relative Pronouns in German (Who/Which/That)

In this video you will learn the two negation words in German: nicht and kein. We will talk about when to use each of these words and also practice some sentences with nicht and kein.

This is an introduction to reflexive verbs in German. In this video, you will learn what a reflexive verb is, what a reflexive pronoun is, when we use accusative and dative reflexive verbs, and how to use these verbs in short sentences.

During this lesson you will learn how to conjugate regular present tense verbs. We will use visuals and practice exercises to aid with understanding this topic.

This video explains the first three cases in German: nominative, accusative, and dative. These cases are the foundation for much of German grammar and are therefore a great basis for beginners and also an important topic to review for more advanced students.

We will introduce and learn how to use and conjugate the two most important verbs in German, "haben" and "sein". This lesson is appropriate for beginners of the German language with little to no previous German experience, as well as those who want extra practice with verbs and sentence formation.

To make the learning interactive and fun, we will look at visuals and practice verbs in sentence formation. Through this format we will practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking in German- setting us up for success when we want to use these verbs in any situation! Ideas for extra practice are also included.
