With the ease of accessibility with digital photography I believe everyone should have the tool sets needed to make images of those memories set before the camera they have at hand. I will teach you how to draw/paint what you see. I don't teach you cookie-cutter "how to paint a horse" type of lesson, because this limits you to only draw a specific thing. With me, you will learn the theories of drawing or painting and have the opportunity to practice it with me as your guide. Once you understand the theory behind transferring what you see onto paper, you can draw/paint any subject!
What is unique about my lessons is I not only teach students the techniques of observational drawing or painting, but the theory and strategies of creating and self-expression. I help students discover or improve their unique visual language in order to make art that is meaningful and personal.

Upon arrival he asked great questions to understand our level of experience with acrylic painting, and walked us through tutorials on techniques before we started the main topic. Then during the lesson he was patient and adaptable as my girlfriend and I expressed our individual art styles. Overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing way to expand their skills and experiences.

All artists need to learn the basic fundamentals of drawing. I'll show you how to sketch ideas using reference imagery in pencil, focus on composition, form, light, shading, and more. As you progress we can introduce more mediums such as ink pens, alcohol markers, India ink, or colored pencils. I'm also happy to teach digital drawing, using various techniques to sketch and develop crisp linearts.
My drawing specialties are people, animals, and nature landscape scenery, so if any of these things interest you, let's get drawing!
