Painting can be an incredible way to express yourself and have fun. I will teach you the basics but with projects that are a lot more fun than painting a bowl of fruit!

About Adeline

Kelvin was an incredible teacher! He somehow made the very technical art of origami a bit easier to digest and do on our own from home. He was supportive and cheering us on, and his passion for origami was extremely evident. We can't wait to work with him again. Thanks, Kelvin!

ACRYLIC PAINTING LESSONS

Abstract Painting uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Abstract art, non figurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art are loosely related terms. They are similar, but perhaps not of identical meaning.

A Complete List of Painting Supplies that every Acrylic Painter needs

1. Acrylic Paints. Ex: Golden Classic Theory Color, a-z Acrylics, Liquitex [brands]

2. Proper Painting Brushes [I‘d suggest six total in a range of sizes: two size 2 brushes, two size 6 brushes, and two size 12 brushes. One of each pair should be a flat brush (with a squared-off brush tip) and the other should be a filbert brush (with a slightly rounded tip).

3. Newspaper
4. A charcoal pencil
5. A “palette”
6. Comfortable, messy clothes
7. A painter’s easel - if any
8. Canvas (or other painting surface)

I love Mayra. She taught me a lot more than I thought in just one class. I have a painting that I will hang on my wall. Never thought one class would do that. She has great personality and great skills.

Mayra was very helpful. She had a challenge with us because we we're weren't sure exactly what we wanted to learn. Mayra worked with us and demonstrated some new techniques and ideas based on where we already were as (very amateur) artists. She was helpful, very encouraging, and easy to work with. Thank you!
Marilyn B.
It was a great experience meeting Mayra! She's an excellent teacher, and is a very patient, nice person. I learned some interesting techniques from her, and enjoyed my lesson with Mayra very much!!!

I had a great experience with Jacob as an instructor. He is knowledgeable and his advice was relevant and to the point. He invested time to critique my work and even sent detailed notes. Highly recommend!
Jenn
I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Jacob. My husband gave them to me as a birthday present and it was tons of fun. Jacob was able to answer all of my nitty gritty questions, as well as general tips on improving my skills. The lessons were enjoyable and I learned tons. I've gone from shooting in complete auto mode, because I didn't know how to do anything different, to shooting in aperture priority mode with much better results. My Christmas portrait of my kids will be much better this year thanks to these lessons. If you're looking for an affordable way to improve this is a great option because you'll learn a lot in just a few one-on-one sessions. Jacob was also very flexible in working with me on the schedule for the lessons. Thanks Jacob!

My daughter has bloomed after joining Ms.Maggie’s class. She taught her how to apply the fundamentals of art, and incorporate the use of a variety of materials, techniques, and styles. "Mark OneWolf is a phenomenal teacher. Great photographers are not always great teachers, but here is a person who is both. I started with basics of not understanding much about photography beyond auto mode or about other modes on my camera, but he expertly guided me through the process of learning more about both. He is incredibly encouraging and responsive to questions, and is a kind an generous teacher.

I am now at the next level of learning about photo editing, and again, Mark goes the extra distance to research how we can more easily share images to discuss the editing process.

Do not let the online format stop you. Mark's style is very hands on.

He has exceeded all my expectations for an online class. He is an outstanding, and very patient, diligent and resourceful teacher. I highly recommend Mark and am looking forward to continued lessons with him."

He's always coming up with new and creative ideas to engage the kids and played a key role in the facility's success. My daughter would look forward to going in and learning different artistic techniques and other creative ideas from him, and i can proudly say that she auditioned for and was accepted into all of her magnet schools of choice using many of the techniques he taught her. Art has become her favorite subject, and she has a clear view of her career goals in this field, and i know Tim played a valuable role in her artistic development."
