Trevor L.

Fort Collins, CO

About Trevor

Graduating from Le Cordon Bleu: Hollywood, working at many restaurants, and cooking for so long, I can teach you the fundamentals of cooking. This ranges from knife skills, food history, cookery, and
more! My other skill set is drumming. I've taken lessons for a few years, but I have been drumming for over 12 years. My main influence has been my godfather who's the previous drummer of The Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Chamberlain. I have already taught a few how to drum and cook nicely. I would not say I'm amazing at these things, but I can definitely get a good foundation to build upon.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Drums: Roland electric set, full set from Siamese Dream album of the Smashing Pumpkins, and a Djembe (African drum)

Cooking: Many cooking utensils, pots/pans, knife kit, etc.

Skateboarding: I have been Skateboarding for 12+ years, I can help Beginners and intermediates to become better! Also I can provide a Skateboard, but you must bring your own helmet/pads if you need them.

Karney S.

Fort Collins, CO

About Karney

I have played guitar professionally along the Front Range since 1989 and began teaching in 1997. During that time, I've been fortunate to have opened up for national acts such as Eddie Money, Night Ra
nger, Quiet Riot and shared the stage with members of Firefall and the Derek Trucks Band.

Several of my students have auditioned for and were accepted as the sole guitar seat in the junior high, high school, and college jazz bands. A few of my younger students received honors in their grade school music programs.

I believe the key to the success of the student is that they enjoy what they are doing and gain confidence through the skills they have worked hard to develop.

Over the past seven years, I have had three different guitar teachers. Karney is by far my favorite. The thing that really sets him apart is that he made me love playing guitar. I liked it before, but Karney actually taught me what I wanted to learn. This motivated me to practice the songs and eventually allowed me to play guitar at several weddings, both with Karney and by myself. He always goes the extra mile in my instruction by looking on his own time for cool new songs we can play. I know going into every lesson that I will have a good time and learn something new.

Karney is an absolutely fantastic teacher who is very knowledgeable on all areas on guitar from classical to rock and roll. He has taught me a lot and any student of any age would benefit greatly from having him as a teacher!

Selyne T.

Fort Collins, CO

About Selyne

Hi!!!! I'm Selyne and I can't wait to get started on our bass adventure! I've been teaching privately since last year, though I've held bass sectionals at several high schools and middle schools in ad
dition to tutoring beginning students, so I'm not that green in the world of teaching. Currently, I am a student at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a BM in Music Performance and going into my junior year. I would describe my personality as quirky, fun, and caring and I really value the power of positivity and encouragement during the learning process. I want my students to know someone is rooting for them at all times throughout their journeys in the world of music!

Concerning experience, I have a decent history of getting beginners started on the bass! I am really, really excited to get anyone set up on this amazing instrument and apparently that enthusiasm shows! I have also taught intermediate to nearly advanced students, so don't worry! I'm excited to meet you!!!
