Music is a gift. My goal as a teacher is to share my knowledge of this gift with others, so that they too will have the ability to understand and enjoy the creation of music. Studying an instrument should be rewarding and I do my best to keep it a positive experience for my students. My method is versatile - custom fit for each individual who studies with me. It is my task as an educator to identify a student'€™s dominant learning style and use this information to engage him/her in the learning process. The ov
erall agenda is set, as far as what I expect students to learn, but how I present the material differs from person to person. I am interested in making sure that the student not only comprehends the lessons, but feels a sense of pride in their accomplishments. Ultimately, my purpose is to help the pupil connect to the music, so that it may become a life-long relationship, whether he/she becomes a professional musician or a music enthusiast.

Better than I expected!

Veronica helped me to understand what I really can do while also giving constructive criticism. She also gave "homework" which helped immensely. I felt that my experience with her was worth every dime!!

Great Teacher

Sebastian is having an amazing time with his teacher Jarrod. He looks forward to his lessons and practices very hard at home not only because he loves the drums but because he wants to impress his teacher. Jarrod is a smart and very talented instructor, he explains everything well and allows the student to feel comfortable embrace the lessons easily. Sebastian has a blast and grasps everything quickly thanks to Jarrod. He's an amazing musician and Sebastian is very happy and lucky to have him as an instructor.

About Benjamin
I have extensively studied vocal performance for many years and continue to add to my own technique. I have a Master of Vocal Performance Degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. I currently work for a recording studio (Sound Summit Studios in Naperville IL) where I teach voice and help singers record their music in the studio. I have previously taught at The School of Rock in Indianapolis Indiana. I have administered vocal lessons to every voice type at all different levels. Several of my students have recored albums and are currently performing all over the U.S.

I have a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in art. After graduating college, I was a full-time high school biology teacher, volleyball coach, and director of the school musical. As a high school teacher, I learned first hand the kind of pressure and expectat
ions that are placed on students in order for them to succeed. In college, I was the head student researcher on a two-year lab project. I took several upper level science courses including: biochemistry, calculus, organic chemistry, calculus based physics, cell biology, anatomy, and physiology. I studied marine biology in the Virgin Islands and am CPR certified.

*** Lesson Details ***
Voice lessons with me are fun and effective. You can expect to hear improved technique from day one, eventually reaching your long term goals. I begin every lesson aligning the students voice through various vocal warm ups and exercises. We then work together to pick repertoire that will suit the singer'€™s voice and they will enjoy singing. During a lesson we will also cover performance presentation, acting, diction, rhythm, musicality, style, and interpretation.

During tutoring you can expect a personalized plan based on your goals and aspirations. Since every student is different you can be assured we will come up with a plan that is designed just for you. I am a laid back tutor but will be sure to get the most out of you after our time together. Most students see at least a one letter grade improvement. My main goal for every tutoring session is student learning and comprehension.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Piano, recording equipment, large collection of sheet music

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in helping students find their true singing voice.

About Amanda
I am a singer/ songwriter located in Richmond Hill, GA. I recently moved here from the Philadelphia area, but I'm originally from Long Island, NY. I love to sing and to help people learn and develop as singers. My prices are based on the amount of formal teacher training I have had. I took two semesters at Immaculata University as a music education major, however, the timing of classes didn't work out with my work schedule. While I have had extensive music training and can prove that with the training I can give, I understand that not having a degree in that field will hinder people from giving me a chance.

I have a BA in Creative Writing and an MBA in Human Resource Management. I encourage you to make the decision to help me help you. I am patient and helpful when it comes to any level of singing. I hope to be hearing from you soon!

Brittany is absolutely fantastic with my 13 year old daughter who has never had any vocal training before. We are five lesson in, and from day one, you could tell Brittany really knows her stuff. We have seen fantastic progress in such a short time. Brittany's knowledge, patience, enthusiasm, and own personal talent shine through. My daughter looks forward to each and every lesson. We were lucky to find Brittany and I highly recommend her.

Bonita and I met as ministerial students in college. Since graduating, I have served as
lead musician, vocal director, conductor at five different churches from California to Washington State.

Northwest University in Seattle is where I studied music. Those studies allowed me to grow much in my understanding of all instruments as well as vocals. I have recorded five solo CD’s in my career and performed all over the US, and several other countries.

FYI: I have over 40 years teaching experience, which helps me serve you even better! I can identity your learning style in a hurry!

When I see each student conclude their weekly lesson with a smile on their face. Many of my vocal students have won numerous awards and lead roles in school plays and competitions. I LOVE teaching music!

My wife likes to tell people "whatever abi

About David
***Introduction***
Hi, my name is David and I'm a 2012 graduate from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree. I'm retired from the Army and teach JROTC in high school in South Carolina.

I use the ABRSM standards as a guideline to teaching piano. I include four main areas to my teaching: Performance skills through pieces or songs. We will work on developing a repertoire of songs. Technical skills through scales and arpeggios. I have a fun way of teaching you scales. Notation skills through sight-reading. This is important to learning how to read faster. Listening skills and Musical Perception through aural exercises. Ear training will help you to be a well-rounded musician.

My goal is to tailor my lesson style to each individual student. I focus on teaching students the freedom to explore and
discover through a combination of different methods that are tailored to each individual.

My method is a combination of methods that I believe will help you meet your goals. Depending on your age and level of experience will determine which method book we will use.

I strive to keep my teaching fresh and engaging using new repertoire, music games, along with sight-reading and scale challenging goals that will keep my students engaged and interested to learn more,

It is my hope that my students will discover what interests them the most in music, and find the same joy and satisfaction in reaching those goals as I did. I also hope to pass on the musical knowledge that my teachers and mentors have instilled in me.

*** Lesson Details ***
I offer a free 15 minute video conference to go over your goals and any questions you may have. With all ages I supplement with sight reading and improvisation exercises, along with flashcards as reinforcement. I also incorporate fun and challenging games that my students will love and enjoy doing.

As my students grow as musicians, my hope is that they will discover a love for music, giving them an appreciation of the arts for years to come.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a Yamaha DGX-520 88-Key Portable Grand Piano Keyboard. An internal webcam on my laptop as well as an external Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, for multiple views.

Went over basics I knew with the first lesson, but now that he has, the basics I knew are now better instilled. I can look at any note and within a second find out which letter and octave it corresponds to on both piano and sheet music. After that he got me to use my hands faster and more accurately by practicing scales. As if his teaching methods weren't good enough, he also has a really flexible schedule. If you are unable to make a lesson, just give a 24 hour notice and he can shift the lessons down a week. The only nuance that I've experienced is that he asks me a few times to change my schedule. I can't complain, since it was a choice though, one that he asks if its ok and then goes forth with it. Much better than tutors for academic subjects I've had, and much better than my Guitar teacher in public school. 3 years of guitar case two weeks with piano, and I feel much comfortable on piano than on guitar already!

About Sean
I began teaching acoustic guitar and voice lessons in 1984, also offering harmonium and tabla lessons a few years later. Some of my students have approached music mainly for personal enjoyment and deepening their self-identity, while others have used the skills they learned in their careers.

I've found that in order to be a successful teacher, I must be patient and compassionate, and try to always put myself in the shoes of a learner. I feel my greatest teaching strengths come from listening to my students, as well as drawing from my experience as a singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist.

I'm grateful for my exposure to the music of different cultures, especially the fascinating polyrhythms of traditional African drumming and the deeply moving melodies of Indian Classical music. I had the good fortune to study these disciplines int
ensively with Master Teachers during my time at Dartmouth College, at Wesleyan University, and through independent studies in India. My teacher training at Pacific Oaks College further deepened my appreciation of cultural diversity as well as my sensitivity to different learning styles.

This experience has enriched my own compositions, as well as my ability to connect with learners from diverse cultural backgrounds, and to help guide people in developing a personal style free from artificial boundaries of genre.

Currently, I'm working on recording an album of original songs based on the poetry of Rumi, Hafiz and other mystics.
