Teresa was awesome! She worked with me and my limited flexibility and really set me up for success with exercises to integrate into my routine. She was also very cognizant of a prior injury and presented long term alternate solutions to tissue regrowth. I really look forward to working with her again!

She was really great, we have only had one lesson so far but she made me feel very comfortable and I feel like she will be perfect for me helping me get over my stage fright. She came up with quite a few ideas up front and can tell she is taking it seriously, which makes me even more confident in her because it is such a serious issue for me. I am looking forward to working with her.

About Stacey
I am a lifelong student of many subjects. My approach to teaching is one of patience and enthusiasm. I do my best to understand the student's learning style and teach accordingly.
I have been a professional actor, model, and singer for 10 years. I specialize in on-camera acting for TV commercials, industrial video, and host. Most of the modeling I've done is commercial print and live promotional modeling. I've taught group acting classes to kids ages 6-17, including on-camera auditioning, stage directions, script analysis, and business skills (headshot/resume, finding an agent, industry terms, etc.).
My singing experience includes pop, musical theatre, and jazz. I've coached students who believed they were hopeless, and they were pleased to discover their gifts and see growth!
I am a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) and have taught
for 3 years, both group classes and privately.
I minored in French in college and tutored beginning French.
My motto: Never stop learning!

Trying to sing in front of someone is very intimidating for me but Stacey made me feel comfortable from the start. She was very professional and the lesson took a very logical sequence that I could understand. In the past I took lessons from another teacher and my experience with Stacey far exceeded my previous experience and exceeded my expectations...with her help I may actually be able carry a tune!

About Liam
I am currently a college student working on a double major (Anthropology and Linguistics", a minor (Spanish), and a Spanish to English Translators certificate. I am fascinated with language learning and do it daily, it may sound odd but it is actually one of my favorite hobbies (on top of Spanish I have study Turkish, German, and most recently French). My prices are low because I am not in fact a teacher, but I understand all to well what it is to be a student and want to help you with your own language learning journey.

When I began studying Spanish, I was immediately hooked. I wanted to learn as much of the language as possible as quickly as I could. There was just one large obstacle in my way: the classroom setting. Following the rigid curriculum of a classroom is incredibly restricting to a language learner. Just think about it, w
hen you were learning English, did you start with present tense, then move to present progressive, then past tense? Of course not, because that would take too long. Instead, you learned to absorb the bits of language you were exposed to, then try it out without any real fear of making mistakes. You could say things like "I eated" instead of "I ate" in front of your parents only to find them carefully correcting you and letting you on your way. This is an entirely different set up from the typical classroom, where the equivalent mistake in a Spanish class could cost you a good grade. I intend to create the same kind of atmosphere with our lessons. I have lived in Spain and experienced the same thing with my host parents, patiently correcting my every mistake until before I knew it we were conversing fluently. As well I have obviously been in the typical Spanish classroom, where the difference between "la lámpara rota" and "la lámpara rompida" is the difference between passing and failing a test. What they don't tell you is that every native Spanish speaker made the same mistakes you are, just without all the pressure.

If any of this struck a cord with you, do not hesitate to contact me! The hours I have listed may seem small, but in reality my schedule is quite flexible and I'm sure we could find a time that fits your schedule!

We are working through "ar" verbs, talking about reflexive verbs, and Liam is giving me suggestions to use music, movies and simple books in Spanish to increase my learning of the language. Everything is going good and I feel like this is the first time I've studied Spanish is a much more logical, fluid way. Thumbs up!

About Soleine
I'm a native of the south of France who loves everything that comes with learning and teaching a new language, ranging from basic grammar to literature, including oral conversations about pop culture.

My strong interest for languages oriented me towards a "Literature Baccalaureate" for which I studied - among other fields - German, English, Ancient Greek and Latin, and graduated Summa cum Laude in 2010. After high school, I went on to study for five years at Sciences Po Paris, France's elite school for social and political sciences.

Learning about the hidden history of words and the construction of sentences has always fascinated me, and I strongly believe that this is what makes the difference between a regular native speaker, and one who can actually transmit his knowledge of the language. Writing and speaking a proper french i
s not enough. When it comes to teaching, one has to be able to explain the "why" behind each word, idiom and grammatical rule, because that is how we remember best. Combined with a burning desire to understand movies, songs and books in their original version, this method makes wonders. As one of my best teachers once told me : “ We get into a culture through its language, and we get into a language through its culture.”

Grateful for francophiles' interest in my native tongue, I'd welcome the opportunity to help you sharpen your skills and clear seemingly obscure concepts. Along the way, I hope to be able to communicate with you my keen interest for the French history, its twists and turns and important figures.

But first and foremost, I will adapt the content of my lessons to reach YOUR specific goal, wether it is to chat with friends, understand the news, or even get a job !

I truly enjoy the freedom to teach at each student's pace, there is no rush or pressure to complete the program.

I work with a series of books that will take us from beginner to advanced level. I provide extra materials and exercises that will help you reinforce the concepts learned by practicing.
I also teach Conversational Spanish, those lessons are particularly develop for students of advanced level that need to continue practicing the language in order to maintain their level.
During all my lessons, I like to provide students with tips
and creative ideas of how to practice Spanish in-between lessons, students always find my suggestions very helpful and something that they never thought of doing before.

You will find that as a teacher I am very patient, kind and warm. It is important for me to offer a welcoming and safe environment for learning. By making my students feel comfortable and relax I ensure that they will be fully present during my lessons.

Learning a new language is exciting and can also be intimidating. I truly hope you give me the opportunity to work with you and embark in this fun adventure together!

I have been teaching ESL to international students since high school. I have taught basic to Intermediate levels. I am stilling working on my degree, but have personal experience teaching ESL. I especially have experience teaching Spanish speakers. I have been multiple times to Colombia, South America, where my husband is from. I also have a part-time job and I am mother. I have studied at Tulsa Community College and Community College of Denver. I made the Dean's List at both Community Colleges. I am planning on transferring to either MSU Denver or CU Denver to complete my degree.

I have musical experience as well. I was pursing , at first, a Music Degree but have recently have decided to change my focus to Linguistics. I still dearly love music but found that I would rather purse Linguistics as a career and have music be my hobby. My p
rincipal instrument is voice. I taught voice privately to elementary and middle school girls. I worked on a film score for an Independent foreign film in Colombia called La Montana. I also tutored college students struggling with Music Theory level I-II. I play the flute and the piano as well.

In my spare time I like to take barre classes, hike, enjoy good food, travel, go to concerts and plays, and spend time with my husband, daughter, and puppy.

Hi, I am a young tutor who is a natural born, Spanish speaker. I am very passionate about the beauty of the Spanish language. I have taken college level courses in Spanish as well to learn the language more in depth. I attended school in Mexico as well, and have a very good sense of the language in a scholarly way, such as the grammar, punctuation, and literature. Spanish literature is one of my passions as well. I’ve been in love with the French language and cultures for years! Here’s a snapshot of a few of my experiences:

I lived in France for a semester in college and completed a teaching internship in a French elementary school while I was there (yes, teaching English to classrooms of preschoolers is as difficult as it sounds!).

I worked for a summer at the French immersion camp at Concordia Language Village (Bemidji, MN) cooking authentic meals from francophone cultures.

During college, I was the French tutor on campus and hosted a weekly conversation club and other activities.
