The lessons will be based on the skill level of the student. We will paint from observation as well as from photographs. Art History will be incorporated and we will study the paintings of the masters. In the students paintings, focus will be on perspective, color, composition, and accuracy in proportions.

My ten year old son absolutely loved learning how to rap with Prophet. He is an excellent teacher, talented rapper, and is exceptional at establishing rapport with kids. Sometimes my husband would join in too and they would make up the funniest raps. Thank you so much for Prophet for all the good times!

Although my focus as a TakeLessons teacher is primarily in music, I also teach a killer Calligraphy class. I do not take the fact that I am 'multi-talented' lightly. I know good calligraphy and I know mediocre calligraphy. Before getting more involved with music, I taught Calligraphy at a junior college for 7 years. I taught over 750 students and took classes from a student of Donald Jackson, one of the Scribes of the Queen of England. I can strengthen the work and techniques of intermediate or advanced calligraphers (and illuminators) and am very adept at teaching beginners. We can meet in my music studio or your home. I have a list of preferred materials and love this amazing communication form.
