Jeremy A.

Casselberry, FL

About Jeremy

I am an accomplished performing musician that has experience playing many different instruments in multiple styles. I believe first and foremost that learning music should be fun and exciting with an emphasis on self exploration and communication. It's these qualities in my own musicianship that have helped me grow a true love of music and have pushed my career forward as a performer.

*** Lesson Details ***
In lessons I use a shifting curriculum that is made to work with the needs of each individual student. I firmly believe in the importance of learning to read music and learning some bas
ic music theory, in my experience this helps the student grow from being able to reproduce the music of others to eventually developing a unique style and sound. After three to six months my beginning level students typically feel comfortable enough to play with other musicians confidently.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lessons take place in the living room seating and a guitar are available. 1 cat and 1 small dog kept separate during lessons.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide all of the necessary educational tools such as listening samples, and printed off hand outs. The student needs to have their own instrument, staff paper and a pencil.

My first lesson with Jeremy was fantastic. He tuned right in (no pun intended) to what I wanted to learn about right after we spoke the first time. He obviously knows his stuff and I look forward to spending more time taking lessons from him.

Damien S.

Orlando, FL

About Damien

Orlando-based composer and guitarist Damien has made a name for himself as a writer of scores for film, theater and dance productions.;A graduate of Music Composition at SUNY Purchase (New York) and Musicology at the University College of Dublin (Ireland). Years of touring internationally and score writing has given Damien the experience and work ethic to share his musical knowledge and abilities with others. Producing 4 cds and appearing on countless others' cds and compilations; Damien can share not only his musical/theoretical talents, but his experience in producing, recording, writing, an
d performing live.

*** Lesson Details ***
Damien is a very patient and moderately, laid back teacher. He will teach what you want to learn, yet give you suggestions on other avenues to approach. Basics lead to complete knowledge of any subject. Starting from the beginning of what a student knows and moving forward step by step will only lead to perfection in their lessons. Having fun doing this, is the only way to keep a student focused and progressing. Enjoyment is the number one focus of Damien's lessons. If a student isn't enjoying and having fun with their lessons then they will not progress.
Damien teaches ages of 5-99. You are never too young or old to learn. Damien's main focus is guitar and music theory

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would expect the student to provide their own guitar (if necessary) and a notebook
I have private parking for my students, so they don't have to worry about parking, ever !
*** Specialties ***
I have been taught, on a college level, of classical, jazz, ethnic musics. I specialize in guitar, theory, composition.

I was a bit apprehensive about taking lessons online but through Skype, the teacher/student relationship worked out just fine. Damien is very patient and encouraging for a beginner like me and I felt that I accomplished much more in the first lesson than I could have hoped for.

Rebekah P.

Winter Park, FL

About Rebekah

With a degree in classical voice and over 10 years of teaching experience, I can help you reach your musical goals! Using proven methods, you can learn the techniques necessary to sing like the pros or make the ivory keys of your piano dance!

My teaching style would be best described as intense and flexible. I'm a total stickler for proper technique and classical learning theory, but I also give my students the power to choose what repertoire they work on. I often tell my pupils, "I don't really care what you're playing or singing, as long as you focus on the fundamentals learned in lesso
ns". I believe students will practice music they like, so I encourage them to pick songs they enjoy hearing. The concept that purposeful learning can be achieved using almost any repertoire is at the core of my teaching philosophy.

I went to Rebekah for recreational voice lessons and had a great time singing with her. She was patient, knowledgeable, and very easy to learn from. She always had a good approach to her lessons and different techniques for me to try to remedy any issues I was experiencing until we found the ones that worked best for me.

I would recommend her for anyone looking to take lessons, if you're just starting or have been singing for years!

About Justin

Hi, my name is Justin. I have passionately been practicing guitar for all most ten years now and I'm eager to continue passing my knowledge down to anyone willing to commit the time into learning guitar. Over the years now I've been proud to see my students achieve their personal music goals. I have, with great success, taught many students varying from those who couldn't tell you what a tuning peg is, all the way up to those trying to perfect Eddie Van Halen's harmonic fills. I am an extremely patient teacher with the knowledge needed to teach most styles of guitar playing.

Justin has been teaching my 14 yr old son guitar for the last month. He has such an easiness to his personality that he has quickly developed a great connection with my son. His love for music is genuine and I can tell it is spreading to my son. He is encouraging and friendly but still maintains reasonable expectations for commitment and practice. I couldn't be happier with Justin. I would totally recommend him.

Juli R.

Sanford, FL

About Juli

Hi! My name is Juli, and I have the best job in the world! It has been said that "where words fail, music speaks." When you make music, you speak a language that transcends cultural, emotional, and age barriers and touches the soul. My passion is to help people to develop a level of proficiency that will enable them to be lifelong lovers of music.

I have a B.A. in music education, and have been teaching choir, musical theatre, and private voice, piano, guitar and ukulele for 8 years. My specialty is vocal technique, and I have experience working with singers recovering from vocal injuri
es (in conjunction with a speech therapist). If you want to sing pop, Broadway, jazz, or classical, I'm your gal!

I absolutely love teaching beginning piano, guitar and ukulele as well! While I do use method books to provide structure, I also like to get outside of them and use alternate teaching techniques to keep things fun.
