    Hello and welcome! My name is Jeremy. I have an extensive background, education and experience in teaching and instructing on health science, exercise science, nutrition, and personal training. I am a practicing personal trainer and strength coach as well as teacher at various community colleges (I teach a college credit personal training certification class). I hold a Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion as well as the industry's top credentials and certifications.     The classes are taught at local community colleges and have a lecture component and a hands on component. I teach both of these. The lecture component covers the science of exercise, physiology, and energetics (nutrition). The hands on component is taught in the fitness center or gym. We cover how to conduct fitness assessments, what they mean and how to use that information to write a program. Exercise and form are also taught as well as how to work with special populations (such as children, elderly, knee issues, etc)
