Learn Screenwriting from a Screenwriter of Feature-Length Films, Comedy Sketches, and Music Videos

I've been teaching screenwriting for 8 years and my students have gone on to write and film their own projects. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to identify a strong story idea and as time goes on you'll be able to flesh that idea out into a successful script all on your own. I specialize in comedy (sketch, rom-com and feature films), typically use books like "Anatomy of Story" by John Truly and the works of Angus Fletcher, and I can help you find a screenwriting software that works for you. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Sean is great! He is fun to be around and gets me thinking outside of the box when it comes to improv, points out things I should pay attention to, and guides me in ways around what beginners usually do.

Sean was an awesome instructor for our improv team. NYC's all the lesser for his absence. One of the things that set Sean apart from other coaches was his attention to detail in character approach. His acting instruction helped many of us embrace characters in a more realistic way, which usually resulted in way funnier scenes full of discovery instead of "invention."

Sean is a wonderful improv teacher. He coached my improv team during several practice sessions. Sean provides detailed feedback and specific notes on improv, comedy, acting, etc., which I found extremely helpful for my individual growth as a performer. He was also a huge help for our team as we grew from being a casual level 1 practice group to eventually becoming an indie team and performing shows around New York. I always cite Sean’s help as being instrumental in my growth as an improviser.
