This is Chuck Reichel the drum instructor at Sound Picture Recording. I've been doing studio recording sessions and also playing live performances covering most styles of music for many years. I myself have studied drums in the past under several top notch drummers.

Instruction also includes how to play correctly so as not to develop negative playing habits. In the case that you have developed negative playing habits, how to correct them. 

Emphasis is also placed on proper warm up techniques, stretching exercises, holding the sticks correctly, posture, plus drum kit "throne" seat placement, and correct stance, if playing concert snare or percussion. Independence is also developed through simple easy to grasp exercises. In addition, drum exercises are individually tailored to the particular needs of each student. 

Chuck has also developed a special ear training method utilizing CD and MP3 technology. This method reduces the amount of time it normally takes to develop good listening skills. These listening skills decrease the time that it takes to learn new songs, and learn how to interact with other musicians.

I had dabbled in playing the drums since I was a kid but had never taken a lesson. Chuck has been so great at incorporating the basics as well as more challenging exercises. I really feel like I’ve improved since beginning these lessons. Chuck provides recorded exercises so you can practice at home and even made tailored assignments. 10/10 instructor!

Great instructor, very knowledgeable. A pleasure to work with and adjusts to what your needs are. He even sent personalized drum tutorials for me to practice . Also has an amazing studio which is a huge plus.

Chuck is a very talented and experienced teacher, he makes the classes relax , entretained and fun. He is very insightful and detects my kid strength and weakness. I have seen my kid improving in his drum skill that eventually would take him to the next level.

Chuck is a fantastic teacher! He is really patient but also pushes me to go beyond what I think I can do. He is very systematic and fundamental, which has given me a great foundation in my rhythm skills.

Chuck has been teaching my son drums for several years now. In addition to being an accomplished musician and sound board technician in his own right, Chuck is also a great drum teacher and all around friendly guy. 

I have seen my son’s drumming improve drastically over the last few years while he’s been under Chuck’s tutelage. Chuck has also taught my son how to mix his drumming with other instrument tracks on the sound board in order to create CDs and MP3s to send to his grandfather.

I’ve been playing, recording and teaching Country drums for many years. As I often say while drum coaching “If you can say it you can play it”! My drum lessons focus on all the drum basics which gives my students the freedom and the confidence to be able to listen to the other musicians and the reassurance they have the tools to play whatever the song calls for!
