About Andrew
Obtained an Associates in Arts at Butler County Community College, El Dorado, KS.
Obtained a Bachelors in Music Education from Wichita State University, Wichita, KS.
I'm an accomplished accompanist
and vocalist, with 10 plus years of expertise. Currently, I’m a volunteer worship leader at church, for over 6 years; helping other musicians fulfill their ultimate potential through training and education. Collaborate with other musicians for worship opportunities and projects. Been able to facility vocal training, how to lead a worship experience and which instrumentation and vocal concepts to are appropriate.
Played piano at Von Maur, for 6 months where I utilized my piano skills to provide entertainment and guest requests.
Currently have many different music students, where each week we assess their strengths that fulfill their ultimate potential, through activities and diverse learning concepts.

*** Lesson Details ***
I believe that all musicians have the abilities to fulfill their ultimate potential; by assessing students learning styles, accessing community resources and just having fun learning musical concepts.
Curriculum examples that I would utilize for piano would be Adventures in Piano and Succeeding at the Piano. For the vocal students I utilize Exceptional Musicianship, created by Hal Leonard for accurate vocal techniques.
Within 3 months the students will have opportunities to demonstrate their musical abilities. I will provide opportunities for students to demonstrate musical expertise through recitals and other events.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Main Room: electric keyboard (full 88 keys), couch, TV, and a chair, book cases, parents can sit in the lesson (encouraged)

*** Travel Equipment ***
The expectation is that the students must have access to a piano and audio equipment for their success.

*** Specialties ***
The musical genres I'm an expert include Broadway, Show Choir, Faith-Based, Classical, Jazz, Pop, Performing Arts, Acting, Staging, Costuming, Props. I believe that students need to have access with various musical styles that will aid their musical abilities.

About Morgan
Hello there! I'm excited to talk to you about my studio, and my personal journey through music to where I am today! I have been professionally studying music for the past 14 years! I started performin
g with the American Boychoir back in 2003. I then went on to study classical voice, primarily opera, at Walnut Hill School for the arts. I studied for 4 years there and learned so much about my own voice and how to teach others in masterclass settings and small lessons. I then obtained a degree in Vocal Performance major from Millikin University. I'm currently obtaining a M.M of Opera Performance at Wichita State University, and am loving every second of it. I now feel it is the right time to explore the teaching field. I've taken many seminar courses about the voice and how it progresses and am in the process of taking even more to expand my knowledge base! I'm very open to new styles of singing, however my focus is classical training. I believe that with a good classical base you can explore many different types of singing, such as Jazz, and Musical Theater to name just a few. I'm very excited to be doing this and I can't wait to help you learn about your voice!

*** Lesson Details ***
Every lesson will be different because each student is different! I urge you to come explore your voice with me and learn what works best for you! I prefer to give hour voice lessons, because that gives me more time to work with you, however I will be just as happy to work in 30, or 45 minute slots as well!

*** Specialties ***
Classical! If you haven't seen it so far in my writing, I love opera. It's one of my favorite, all-encompassing, art forms and I am in a constant state of wonder when I watch it and perform it. My main specialty is just that classical base that every singer needs!

I went thru the online application process, then sent an email to this guy... I being an artist, and writer -
have a vivid mastery of the English language.. having said that, the first response I received back from this gut was " I don't think you'd be a great part of my studio " .... so I was confused... " don't " and " great " imply opposite meanings . .. so out of courtesy, and out of the desire to not pass up a great teacher due to a typo or musunderstanding, I replied back and asked for clarification and thanked this guy for his time either way... he responded back by accusing me of soliciting myself and told me to get a real job...

His education initially was somewhat impressive, however his professionalism is grossly lacking..

I was requesting 3+ days of 90 min sessions, with a very skilled and strong vocal teacher.. I'm very happy I didn't waste money with him, less I learn very little about communications amongst creative types.. since communication is a fundamental core of self expression...
