Basic Math is a simple set of rules that must be learned and memorized. I'm a professional teacher with a unique ability to perceive what students understand and how they understand, which I use to efficiently build students' knowledge, saving them both time and money.

Creative Writing is a passionate subject for me. I studied Creative Writing at Dartmouth College, where I obtained my Master's, and published my thesis of a collection of fiction short stories.

Creative Writing doesn't have rules, although there are guidelines. I am an advocate of showing and not telling, creating characters, setting scenes, and using smooth, fluent language to engage readers as we experiment with words and style and complex emotions.

I have a Master of Arts degree in Geography from California State University, Northridge, where I graduated with distinction. My specialty is GIS, which is a way of using computer software to make and analyze maps. However, in my coursework I studied everything from human geography to the geography of air pollution and everything in between. I work with maps every day in my work as a GIS consultant. I also have extensive experience as a tutor, and have worked with students of all ages and levels. It is important to me that I get to know my students on a personal level, so I can cater lessons to their individual goals/learning styles. Whether you are studying for a test or just need to brush up on some skills, I look forward to helping you!
