Welcome to our online prerecorded video class on how to sound more like Ariana Grande! In this class, we'll be going through the different techniques and tones that Ariana uses to help you imitate her voice.
The class is designed to be watched at your own pace, and you can pause, rewind, and re-watch sections as many times as you need to. Start by playing some of Ariana Grande's hit songs so that you can get a feel for her style and technique. Then, we'll dive into the top eight tips for sounding more like Ariana Grande.
Tip number one is improving your basic vocal techniques and breathing. We'll demonstrate exercises to help you sing from your diaphragm instead of your throat, stand up straight with your shoulders back and relaxed, and warm your voice correctly.
Tip number two is being aware of vocal range. Ariana Grande has a soprano voice type, meaning that she excels at singing higher notes. We'll explain how to extend your vocal range and demonstrate exercises to help you achieve this.
Tip number three is mastering the natural soft tones Ariana uses at the start of her songs. Next, we’ll explain how to sing from your chest and avoid letting the origin of your voice rise into your throat, and we'll demonstrate exercises to help you achieve this.
Tip number four is practicing whistle notes. We'll explain how to achieve this difficult but characteristic technique of Ariana's singing and demonstrate exercises to help you improve your whistle notes.
Tip number five is utilizing the falsetto technique. We'll explain how to reach very high notes without increasing volume and sound airy, and we'll demonstrate exercises to help you achieve this.
Tip number six is trying some vocal runs. We'll explain how to sing fast-moving melodic lines like Ariana does and demonstrate exercises to help you improve your vocal runs.
Tip number seven is learning her belting technique. We'll explain how to produce a huskier tone when singing lower notes and demonstrate exercises to help you improve your belting technique.
Tip number eight is using vibrato. We'll explain how to use vibrato to enhance your singing performance and add controlled shaking to your notes, and we'll demonstrate exercises to help you improve your vibration.
