I'm Chiaki! I was born and grew up in Japan.

 I think you will be surprised to see how happy and positive I am during our lessons.

 I am not trying to overreact or anything, but I get super happy when you do well because I think of my students as my learning partners.  When you do well or accomplish your goal, I get super excited for you!  

After I graduated from high school, I went to college in the USA.  My major was early childhood education, and I worked at a preschool after college.

There were 13 cute American students in my class! I have also worked at a language school in America teaching Japanese, so I have experience teaching English and Japanese.
 
Recently I finished training with a medical interpreter school.   A medical interpreter must translate complex medical information to patients who speak a different language.  Interpreters help ensure a complete understanding of essential information between medical staff and their patients.
 
I love anime, cooking, working out at the gym and talking, so if you have similar interests, we will certainly get along :)

In my lesson, we will be talking a lot!

 Are you a shy person or a beginner? Don't worry! I will help you!

 I believe that talking is the most effective and fastest way to learn a new language. When I was in school, I was so bad at studying, but when I put myself in another country and forced myself only to speak English and not make any Japanese friends, my English skills improved in such a short amount of time.

 I would like to use my effective learning experience to teach here.  

Kids don't learn their native language by studying; they learn naturally by listening and speaking.

 So we will be talking lots during our lessons. Of course, I do not expect you to speak perfect Japanese!  I know that you will make lots of mistakes; we will have a safe learning environment, and we will laugh lots!
 
LEARNING SHOULD BE FUN, so I always try to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible!

Chiaki is such an absolutely wonderful tutor. If you're struggling to pick a tutor, definitely pick Chiaki. Not only is she an incredible teacher, who helped me learn a lot ridiculously fast, she also is super easy to connect with and funny. She's definitely one of the nicest people I've ever met and I always saw my sessions as something to look forward to each week!! 10/10 reccomend :)

She taught me SO much in a short period of time. I can now construct sentences, read Hiragana, and am working to learn more verbs to conjugate and Katakana! She is extremely supportive, understanding, patient, and knows how to challenge a student. I will return to her when I am ready to get back to learning even more. :)

I am studying Japanese with Chiaki for more than 2 years on an other platform. So, when she told me that she decide to move here, I naturally supported her. Her class are fun. I have taken Japanese lessons with multiple teachers, and Chiaki is by far the best teacher I have had! She always keeps the conversation moving and is extremely encouraging and patient with her students.
