I also enjoyed playing the French horn and percussion with the Allegheny Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble. I have performed numerous piano solo recitals, as a featured pianist with the Allegheny Wind Ensemble, in piano duos, a piano quartet, small instrumental groups and in the pit orchestra for musical productions. My two girls started taking piano lessons in Kindergarten and were very excited to learn. That enthusiasm didn't last long when teacher after teacher showed irritation and a lack of patience with young learners. We went through SIX teachers and were asked by friends why we continued our search for the RIGHT teacher. I knew the girls wanted to play and the problem wasn't that they were children, the problem was finding that teacher who had great patience, an even temper, and one who could move students through those periods of tough times. We found THAT teacher in Ms. Patty!!!!! We have been with her now for two years. The girls are practicing now for their fourth recital and absolutely love playing. They have learned so much more than piano. They have learned patience by example...... Ms. Patty is the best ever!!!!!! <3

I am an older adult who has been taking lessons from Patti for over 2 years now. She has been extremely patient with me and I'm happy with her teaching style. As a person who just wants piano lessons for fun (and to keep my brain working), Patti is glad to accommodate me in having a say as to what music selections I want to learn. I would highly recommend her.

Eric S. Irwin, PA

About Eric

My name is Eric . I have been playing guitar for over 17 years. I was taught by Wayne Bartley and classically trained by Irvin Kauffmann of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. I am currently finishing a degree in Musical Composition at the University Of Pittsburgh. I am a singer / songwriter / lead guitarist and very proficient in Pro Tools. I play in the Pittsburgh based band August Ruins and have taught students of all ages and genders. I am primarily a rock / metal guitarist but can teach any style. The way that I teach is simple, the student decides what they would like to learn and I model my lessons around them to keep it fun. The student will not only learn how to play songs but how the guitar works, music theory, songwriting and how to read tab / notation.

Bruce M. Johnstown, PA

About Bruce

I have been playing the guitar seriously for approximately 32 years. I taught myself to play while enlisted in the US Navy. Using books and playing by ear were my methods of learning. I began writing songs shortly after learning to play, this was quite a satisfying outlet for all sorts of emotions! As a civilian I have been in various bands from Blues to Classic Rock to Heavy Metal. All were learning experiences, plus a lot of fun! I also play bass guitar and can provide lessons on that if you are interested. I am a paraplegic and cannot come to your location so if you are interested I am located in Richland behind Walmart. I have been instructing people for a number of years but not as a formal teacher. I would like to take time now to teach what I have learned over the ...
