    Learn recording techniques and practices.

    You'll get a solid understanding of using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and recording practices. Techniques include DAW setup, interface selection, equipment setup, mic placement, gain staging, mixing, mastering, and publishing audio. We can even cover live-streaming setups! Note: I use Reaper for all lessons. Reaper has a great free trial for 90 days and only costs $60. Recording your own audio is very rewarding! There's nothing more fun than publishing your own creations. I've been running a small audio/video production studio in Round Rock, TX for several years. I love working with singer/songwriters but work with larger projects as well!

    William plays an eclectic mix of Americana ranging from blues, swing, folk, and jazz. Early in his music career, he focused on blues artists from the ‘50s and ‘60s such as Nina Simone and B.B. King. He transitioned to playing folk/rock such as James Taylor and The Band. The result is a guitar player and vocalist with an eclectic style of off-beat swing with engaging musical progressions.
