Learn Japanese Grammar with Certified Coach!

Learning a new language can be a lot of fun, but it is important to begin your learning with structure. You don’t want to end up knowing random or useless information that will sap your motivation once the initial enthusiasm fades. (That being said, I definitely recommend learning fun (to you) words and phrases while also learning the basics. Make your language journey fun for you!) ⭐️ Let's have fun with Japanese! Do you have a question about the correct use of the particle, or about how to place adverbs in a sentence? If so, you have knocked on the right door! These lessons will introduce important grammatical patterns in a structured but simple way. This is not, however, designed to replace a textbook or a detailed grammar book. It is simply our goal with these lessons to help make complex grammatical patterns seem a little less intimidating. With practice and time, these currently foreign concepts will become second nature to you. Basic Grammatical Structures You will learn how to write Japanese, you can begin going over the basic grammatical structure of the language. This lesson primarily covers all the parts of speech: nouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs. It will also describe how to integrate the various parts of speech into a coherent sentence by using particles. By the end of this lesson, you should have an understanding of how basic sentences are constructed. With me, you can learn Japanese grammar, with all the rules of use in Japanese. Each grammar rule is explained in a simple and clear way, with several examples and counter-examples. Japanese grammar is not always easy to understand, but with my tutorial you will be able to remember the rules and apply them with confidence. Let's get started!

I worked with Toshi for months on Japanese, so that I could talk with my Japanese girlfriend's parents, and I could not imagine a better teacher. Toshi’s command of Japanese is extremely deep, and his English fluency means that he could explain Japanese language concepts and structure to me with ease. Equally important, Toshi is a very passionate teacher. Nothing made him happier than watching me succeed and increase my grasp of the language. Thanks to Toshi, I completely (and easily) learned hiragana, and began to learn kanji and katakana. I also learned basic daily communications. Finally, in addition to being very practical (and very polite, I might add), Toshi explained to me the nuances of Japanese culture. Our conversations about Japanese and American cultures really helped me understand my Japanese friends and girlfriend. I highly recommended Toshi to anyone interested in learning Japanese.

Most teachers of Japanese do know grammar; the problem (or least it's a problem for me) is that they often have little actual interest in their own country's literature/culture/art. Therefore they rely on textbooks or supposedly relevant financial pages from Japanese newspapers. "Tsumararai desu ne." (Boring!) Mr. Toshi has the cultural background, education, and own personal interest that makes a lesson an important conversation and not just a series of exercises in grammatical structures and random vocabulary words. I am very fortunate to have found this teacher.
