    Groove is everything! Drumming is far more about feel than it's about flash. If you want to be the drummer who is in high demand you need to have both feel and flash, but feel is something that is not common. It's easier to learn flashy antics than a meat and potato drumming foundation. I've been a professional musician for over 30 years in the studio and touring all over the US, Mexico, and Central America. I can teach you how to play with seemingly effortless technique, how to bring your internal groove monster out, how to improvise solos, and bring thunderous energy into your playing venues!     Shon M is a highly experienced and passionate music educator and professional musician with a career spanning over 35 years. He has traveled extensively as a touring musician, performing across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central America. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Shon has mentored more than 1,000 students, many of whom have gone on to successful careers as professional musicians. Shon offers expert instruction in voice, guitar, bass, drums, and piano/keys, drawing on his extensive knowledge and professional performance experience. His educational background includes studying music at Morehead State University and the prestigious Musicians Institute, where he honed his skills under the guidance of some of the most accomplished studio and touring musicians in the Los Angeles music scene. Those who know him well say, "Shon is a cherished mentor and performer in the music community".

    Shon is very accommodating to helping you learn at your own pace. He is very patient, encouraging and insightful. Shon is very relaxed which helps me feel comfortable and not feel pressured. He gives reassurance all the time that the "growing pains" of learning guitar are normal things everyone fights through. I would highly recommend him.

    I have played and toured with many bands and musicians over the past 30+ years. I have played many styles of music including, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock, Pop, Country, Blue Grass, Gospel, R&B, Praise and Worship, Latin, Latin Funk, Fusion, and many combinations of all the afore mentioned. I have been blessed to have played with some famous and not so famous musicians. But what I can truly say is, the most important thing is, that I love what I do and I have crazy fun doing it. I continue to work with different projects and see no end in sight.
