Learn clarinet with ease from an experienced musician and teacher

I have been teaching since 2013, and love working with all different students. My former students have been selected to be in the Colorado All-State Honor Band and have been accepted to their top choice colleges for music performance. In 2016, I attended the Aspen Summer Music Festival, where I learned a great deal about clarinet and teaching. My specialty is pinpointing bad habits and working towards effortless, high-quality sound and technique.

I am a massive clarinerd, energetic performer and enthusiastic teacher. I perform professionally with the Doclé Reed Quintet and Nebula Ensemble, and I am the Creator and CEO of QuickStart Clarinet, an online platform dedicated to helping students of all ages and abilities learn to play the clarinet! In my many years of studying, I have taken lessons with some of the best performers and teachers in the world, and I received my Master's degree in clarinet performance from Northwestern University. I have taught dozens of students since I began teaching privately in 2013, with many students reaching their goals of getting into honor bands and even being accepted to their dream music schools. My teaching style is all about fundamentals as I try and break down the things you need to know about playing into easy to understand fundamentals that can be applied to all future playing. At the end of the day, my goal is for you to get what you want out of lessons. I am always open to communication about your needs, and I hope to give you the tools you need to love playing the clarinet.
