Hi! My name is Emily J! I have been a music teacher in the classroom and one-on-one for the past 7 years. My experience as a band director allows me to teach a variety of instruments. I graduated summa cum laude from Biola University with a degree in music education and holdsa California teaching credential in music. I teach flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano and guitar. I specialize in teaching beginning and intermediate level students because I love the joy and excitement that comes with beginning a new instrument! I believe that music lessons are not just about learning notes and rhythms, but inspiring a life long love for music making. My passion for the fundamentals and student driven teaching style provide an exciting and engaging lesson environment for my students to reach their goals!
