Cindy was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, but currently lives in Texas. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing from N.Y.U. She is passionate about teaching and helping students to further their academic and life goals. She has experience teaching ESL to a variety of age groups from Elementary School-Adults. She teaches private and group classes online.
In addition to ESL, she has experience tutoring in Grammar and Syntax, Essay Editing, and Elementary School Reading and Phonics.
Some of the topics that she covers in her lessons are phrasal verbs, idioms, everyday conversation, essay editing, reading fluency, phonics and pronunciation.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling as often as possible, dining out, attending live concerts, seeing live theatre, and laughing and bringing joy to the people that she meets. She loves befriending people from different cultures and exploring history and art.

I have taken several writing lessons with Cindy and have recently paid for five more sessions. Cindy is thoughtful, honest, and has a wonderful sense of humor and laugh. She gives very helpful critiques, feedback, and writing tips. Cindy is also very responsive and an excellent communicator.
Cindy works with a variety of age groups from young children, up to older adults like myself. Beginner to advanced. So you don’t have to be a certain type of student to work with her.
One of the best things is Cindy helps me to course-correct various aspects of my writing, and inspires me to write more so that when we meet at the following lesson, I have incorporated some of what she has taught. Thank you Cindy!!
