Hello! My name is Andrew and I am here to introduce you to the wonderful world of music and playing the oboe! I grew up playing oboe and immediately fell in love with its sound and its expressive qualities. I had teachers that encouraged me to explore my own sound quality, listen to recordings, and master the technical aspects of playing. My teachers encouraged me to understand the inner workings of music, and taught me how to soar above the orchestra and also how to blend with other instruments. Finally, I have developed my own techniques, methods, warm-ups, and exercises to master the oboe and the art of music. My experience is my strength. I come from a long line of well-known oboists both as teachers and performers. I learned proper technique, precise tuning, efficient and productive practice, and eventually reedmaking. I can help you with all of that and more.
