Ballet

I am a professional dancer who has been working in the industry for over a decade. I have worked around the country performing in many different musicals. 
I graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance from The Boston Conservatory. I have been teaching dance professionally for the past thirteen years and I specialize in ballet, tap and theatre dance. I am also a certified Barre instructor through Exhale Spa in New York City. I teach all ages and cater to the specific needs of each student. I believe in positivity, encouragement, and share my passion of dance with all of my students. If you are a beginner wanting to learn a new skill, or a more advanced student wanting to hone your skills, come dance with me!

PLEASE NOTE: I do not teach social or ballroom dancing. This includes wedding dances, couple dancing or learning how to dance for a wedding. I also do not choreograph dances for submission videos.

Ballet is the foundation of dance. While I've had a  career as a dancer in musical theatre, my training is in ballet. I trained at the best schools in New York City with some of the best teachers. If you are a beginner looking to study ballet for the first time, or an advanced student looking to hone their skills, you've come to the right place!  Each lesson is customized and catered to the students' specific needs. I am full of energy and passion and want my students to learn while also having fun. Let's dance!

PLEASE NOTE: I do not teach social or ballroom dancing. This includes wedding dances, couple dancing or learning how to dance for a wedding. I also do not choreograph dances for submission videos.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All lessons must be cancelled 36hrs prior to scheduled time. Client will be charged for the lesson if the client fails to give proper notice. 

She takes great care in the properness/form and technique of her students. I improved during the lesson!

She’s very attentive and pays close attention to detail. She also offers great feedback and helps you move forward.

If you are looking to get back into ballet I would highly recommend Jessica.  She is truly outstanding and skilled in knowing how to safely strengthen and build back ballet skills. She is patient, listens and works with each individual students needs.  I can't say enough about how she is transforming me into a dancer and I am not a young person.  If you want to dance, Jessica will not disappoint, she will raise the bar and push you to new heights.  I study 3 to 4 days per week and I highly recommend this dance instructor.  Zoom works great!

Jessica is one of the most passionate educators I know. Having trained intensely in ballet growing up, she understands the importance of hard work and discipline in the dance studio. She holds her students up to the highest of standards while creating an incredibly positive, fun, and safe environment to work in. She has worked with a wide range of ages and adjusts quickly to whatever the needs of the students are. She is nurturing and sensitive and is able to handle any challenging situation with grace and poise. Jessica is a class act! She has had excellent training in ballet, tap, and theatre dance. She has a true passion for passing her vast knowledge on to the next generation. Jessica comes to her classes prepared and with a plan! She has an incredible work ethic and she instills that discipline in her students. Her combinations are clear (she gives counts!), musical, and challenging - but in a fun way! She always encourages her students to reach past what they think they might be capable of - (“you can do it!”) - all while cheering them on and celebrating each and every personal victory. Jessica wants her students to succeed. Jessica has a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh! You will have fun dancing with her! Jessica is a great teacher! She comes prepared to all of her lessons and is always full of energy. She was very patient and broke everything down when I needed it. I wanted to learn tap and was very nervous but Jessica was very clear and made it a lot of fun. She also picks the best music. If you want a teacher that is understanding, compassionate, and talented, she's the one!

Jessica is a awesome instructor. She’s great at establishing a balance of encouraging you while also trying to push you to better yourself as a dancer. I highly recommend working with her!

Jessica is a superb teacher. Whether it is ballet, tap or jazz ,she uses her technique and knowledge to give the foundation a dancer needs. She also brings a joy of learning to her students through her passion as a teacher. With her vast knowledge of dance styles and working with all ages and levels, any child would be lucky to learn from Jessica, who is one of the best out there.

I had not taken a dance class in over 30 years so I was a little nervous about my first class back.  Jessica immediately made me feel at ease - she was very clear and precise in explaining the basic steps and my confidence was restored!  Her class is challenging yet a lot of fun!  I would highly recommend her for children as well as adults.

I am a beginner, so Jessica did an amazing job at breaking down the basics for me while still making things fun.  I learned so much in just a short amount of time in Jessica’s class - she’s the best!
