I am a dedicated and passionate music teacher with over 20 years of experience in playing violin and over 8 years of experience in teaching Violin. I possess a Master's degree in performance, which has equipped me with the necessary skills to provide exceptional training to my students. I am also certified in Suzuki methodology, which helps me tailor my classes according to individual student requirements. I firmly believe that music is an integral part of human expression, and my mission is to inspire and educate students on the intricacies of Violin playing. My expertise combined with a strong commitment to fostering growth and development among my students makes me an asset to any aspiring musician seeking guidance.
As a highly skilled and passionate teacher specialized in violin, I strive to create a learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential. My teaching philosophy centers around setting achievable goals that challenge and motivate my students to grow both musically and personally. Through patient guidance and individualized attention, I help each student develop their technique, musicality, and creativity. Welcome to my violin class! I am a professional violinist with a Master’s degree in Music Performance and I also have extensive experience teaching students of all levels and ages.

My classes are designed with a personalized methodology for each student. I understand that everyone has unique strengths and areas that need improvement, so we work closely with each individual to develop a plan that suits their specific needs. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, I will be able to create a lesson plan that caters to your goals and abilities.

My violin class is beginner-friendly, welcoming those who have never picked up the instrument before. Students will learn the basics of playing the violin, including proper posture and hand positioning, bow technique, and how to read sheet music. As you progress in your studies, you’ll learn more complex techniques such as vibrato, trills, and double stops.

In my class, goals are set from the very beginning of instruction. It is important to us that you can track your progress along the way. This creates a sense of fulfillment when new skills are learned and motivates the students to reach higher levels in their learning journey.

Great fit! She adapts really well to my child, who never played an instrument before. I have seen a lot of progress in him with her as a teacher, he is very shy but when he plays violin, he seems so happy and not shy at all. He seems confident and really enjoys the lessons with Miss Kathy.
