Hello.  If you want to learn to play and understand piano and music,... I can help you!

I teach, play and compose a variety of styles, such as pop, rock, blues, classical, jazz, and new-age music. I can show you how to listen to a recording and to play it without written music. Also, I can teach you to read a lead sheet/fake book/chord chart or the grand staff for piano. I can teach you simple or fancy chords/scales/songs.

I have played keyboard and or piano for the "Diana Ross Show Review", "Beatlemania" and various notable restaurants/clubs in Pittsburgh, Pa. I studied music at Duquesne University and studied privately with Frank Cunimondo for Jazz improvisation.

I enjoy helping students learn to play the piano and understand music. We will have a good time.

I can teach you the fundamentals and beyond and help you pursue all of your musical goals.

I have played Piano and/or Keyboards for the "Diana Ross Show Review", "Beatlemania" and with bands or solo at various notable restaurant/clubs in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, including the Grand Concourse. I studied music at Duquesne University and studied privately with Frank Cunimondo for Jazz improvisation. 

I toured with the Pinoy show band (a Top 40 Las Vegas-style revue band). I played Piano, created and played the string arrangements for multi-keyboards and synthesizers. I learned every part by ear and transcribed to lead sheet/chord charts.

Bennie is a very patient and intelligent teacher. You will not be disappointed with him.  My granddaughter truly enjoys her time with him.

Bennie is a virtuoso keyboard player but also a great teacher at any level. He is also very sound on music technology and home recording as well as vocal coaching.  I would highly recommend Bennie no matter what level you are on, he knows his craft!

I have had vocal training with Bennie for quite a few years. He is a very dedicated teacher and showed me techniques I did not know existed. He has improved me to the point that I know perform at various venues. Additional to the vocal training, Bennie showed me how to find my pitch range and vocal warm-ups using the piano. I have trained with Bennie both in person and online. He is an extremely talented individual, I have even performed some of his original compositions. Anyone who is reviewing his profile will be extremely happy in their selection. He is a lot of fun to work with and his hours are very flexible. Bennie played piano at the restaurant in the office building I use to work and always had the crowd rocking, grooving, swinging and swaying. He later played piano at my wedding and made the reception a night all my guest would long remember. I had no background or experience in piano but decided to  take lessons from Bennie. He took time to write a lesson plan tailored to my level. He’s the best!!

Great teacher and great easy going person

I studied with Bennie for several years with the goal of improving my improvisational skills and hand independence.  I improved in both areas significantly and am much stronger player.  Bennie can push you to a very high level and he stays very engaged between lessons for questions, feedback and additional support.  He even attended my performance shows and offered feedback.  My only regret is that my day job obligations, available practice time and personal learning speed did not allow a greater lesson frequency.

I couldn't ask for a better teacher. Bennie has the talent and experience to help anyone trying to either learn from scratch or improve their current skill level.  Due to the fact that I travel quite a bit with my business I used the holiday season to get a refresher course and Bennie was the right teacher for this. He gave me more in 5 lessons then I could have gotten from anyone else if I had 20 lessons. Unfortunately, I travel a lot for my business and I can't commit to a regular lesson schedule.
