The student must understand phonics and the parts of speech and sentence structure, i.e., syntax, tone, diction, use of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, interjections, etc.

Students receive a step-by-step lesson plan or book with each lesson  The study focuses on a specific aspect of language use, e.g., life skills, literacy, or vocational and workplace English competencies. Both approaches involve teaching students basic English skills, such as listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Lessons are based on the Common Core State Standards

It was my daughters first lesson.  She was very comfortable with the instructor.  He was knowledgeable and patient.

The vowels are the letters A, E, I, O, and U - but there are fifteen sounds. All the rest are consonants. Consonants usually have one sound, but vowels have two sounds, a short and a long sound.
