About Zach B.
I earned both an MLitt and an MFA from Mary Baldwin College's Graduate Program in Shakespeare and Performance. I directed Hamlet for my MFA project. I directed Macbeth at a local high school in Virginia. I was chosen for a professional internship with the resident troupe at the American Shakespeare Center, during which I played Nym and Gloucester in their 2011 production of Henry V. I have acted in twenty-seven shows. I have directed six. I have studied with Tina Packer (of Shakespeare & Co.), Rob Clare, Walt Jones and Ralph Alan Cohen. I have participated in workshops for Linklater training (with Dave Demke), Feldenkrais technique (with Tamala Bakkensen), and Lucid Body practices (with Fay Simpson). Paul Menzer was a thesis adviser for my MLitt document. The only Shakespeare plays with which I am unfamiliar are The Two Noble Kinsmen and Henry VIII (All Is True) -- both of which, if you want to get technical, were probably collaborations with John Fletcher. If you can find someone in Colorado more qualified to teach Shakespeare as literature or for performance, I would like to meet her/him.

I am happy to cater my approach to your needs. I will never use negative reinforcement. Even if you are dreadful, I will only encourage, only point out the positives. Theater is difficult enough without naysayers.
