About Shonna C.

Bio: Shonna is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and has over 17 years of dance training in the areas of tap, jazz, ballet, Polynesian, and hip hop. She has been instructing professionally since 2008 and in 2010 entered the world of professional sports dancing. Her resume includes appearances with two different NBA franchises, a role in the Warner Bros. motion picture Thunderstruck, and a tour during Superbowl XXVIII produced by the NFL Superbowl Commission. Shonna is still dancing in the professional sports industry with a bay area basketball team. My personal philosophy on teaching is that as an instructor it is my responsibility to do more than just teach movement to people. I am a role model for my students and encourage them to be their personal best and to challenge themselves. I fell in love with dance at a very early age and wish to share my passion with as many people as I can regardless of their age, financial background, social status, or whatever it may be. Dance is not only a beautiful art form, but also an outlet for self-expression and personal growth. Where we can impact and inspire others to push their limits and embrace who they are, we are inspiring individual development that could potentially change the world.
