    I started the violin in Northfield, Minnesota, and since then have learned and performed music in a variety of settings. I graduated from Vassar College in May 2010 with honors in music, where I studied with Betty-Jean Hagen, a former student of Ivan Galamian. I was concertmaster of the Vassar College Orchestra for 3 years and twice performed solos with the orchestra.
