Math with Samuel R.

I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience. I am currently applying to medical school. During my college career I tutored students in Calculus and a variety of sciences. I also volunteered at a local elementary school teaching a 3rd grader mathematics. In high school, I was a member of the National Honor Society and earned an International Baccalaureate degree. In this program, I took the equivalents of AP Chemistry, Biology, and Calculus. I believe firmly in learning the process of answering a question through manipulating equations and not by plugging in numbers (plug-and-chug method). My tutoring approach is line-by-line and visual because that is how I learn. I also encourage diagramming questions for chemistry and physics. These methods tend to be effective as most learners are visual.
