"Lessons" is a word that doesn't stir excitement. I want to make our time together something that you will look forward to each week. "Practice", is another word that seems to cause a negative response, but without it, without dedication you can never reach your potential, it is one of life's rules. The guitar is a very expressive and diverse instrument, teaching the guitar is a reflection of that, my job as your instructor is helping you reach the goal you have set for yourself. ... I teach each student in an individual way based on your interest, and my assessment of how to help you reach those goals, every lesson is time YOUR time ! I take time before each lesson for every student planning how best develop our time together by working through material that interests and excites you.of how to play. Commit 3 months and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish, 6 months and you'll begin to play through songs, after a year you will look back with pride and realize how much you have learned. I consider myself "laid back" and easy to talk too, but I will encourage you to accomplish what I know you can. My name is Rusty, and I want to share a bit about myself. I have been a Guitarist for 25 years. I teach what I've learned from years of selling and managing music stores, Building and repairing guitars, and working with other musicians on stage and in the studio, Whether you are considering lessons for your own pleasure or dream of performing in front of hundreds...(or thousands !) of people, I can take you there. I have played well over 2000 shows, both as a solo performer or in one ... of the many Bands I've played with over the years. You will not find a teacher who comes close to that kind of "real-world" experience. I want to give you the "whole picture", A student needs more than a teacher or critic, a student needs a mentor, A teacher willing, able, qualified and experienced ...not just teaching at a Music Store or "Academy". I can show you how to become a "guitar player" - not just how to "play the guitar". I have learned over the years to playing the Guitar is more than where to put your fingers, what is more valuable is being able to talk, share and listen to the advice of a person who can guide you where you want to go. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your journey, it may not always be easy, but it is well worth the trip.
