Overview

I completed musical studies at the Conservatory of Music of San Juan, Puerto Rico and graduated MAGNA CUM LAUDE, with Majors in Musical Education and as a Performing Artist.
I am a qualified bilingual Music Instructor.
I have performed as a guitarist with several orchestras, musical groups, bands and as classical guitar soloist I have given numerous recitals and concerts.
I have worked as a Music Educator at the Social & Pedagogic Academic Institutes teaching pedagogic & didactic principles to teachers and at the same time I have been teaching classical and popular guitar at all levels and ages at several other music schools.
I wrote a guitar method “MELODIC GUITAR” for beginners from 7 years of age and up, and this method has been translated from Papiamentu into the English and Spanish languages.
Although my music background is classical, I play and teach popular music, which I love.
Just to mention a few guitarists who appeal to me: Carlos Santana, George Benson, Paco de Lucia, Julian Bream.
I also teach electrical and acoustic guitar, bass-guitar, piano/keyboard, ukulele, Venezuelan & PR cuatro, songwriting and music theory.
Music is an International language; a way to express inner feelings!
And Teaching it, is my passion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Remi for guitar! I have known this music teacher for some 40 plus years. First as a student of his, then as a fellow student at the conservatory of San Juan Puerto Rico and as a colleague music teacher. What has always struck me of this person as a teacher was his patience, precision in dealing with musical difficulties when teaching and the quality of human contact that he displayed doing so. Always with humor and never losing his temper. March 6, 2014
