Hi there my name is Lilli.

I began piano lessons at the age of 3 and have been playing ever since. I have taken 5 semesters of music and jazz theory at American River College and am currently studying under instructor and pianist Tatiana Scott.I take a mult-faceted approach to my teaching. I stress correct form/hand posture (imperative for proper and efficient playing and for protecting the muscles of the hands/wrists), I teach student's to read music (both by note recognition and intervallic reading) and I often mix in ear-training exercises. I'm also available to transcribe music for the student should he or she wish to learn a specific song (if sheet music is not available.)

Whether it's a hobby or perhaps some day a serious endeavor, I welcome all students and coordinate with them based on their goals and learning style. Music practice takes time and diligence but it should always be fun!

I've been teaching for roughly 6 years now and have taught ages 5 and up.

Look forward to hearing from you!

*** Lesson Details ***
I am pretty laid back and think above all, music should be enjoyable! Mixing the fun stuff with practicing and scales is key. I expect students to be able to keep their lessons and dedicate time to practicing but I move at your pace, not mine. I am willing to reschedule time permitting. Absences due to illness and personal emergencies will be excused. Please give me ample notice :o)

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Teacher Lilly is the best teacher ever. I am 10 years old and playing piano for the first time. I am learning a lot and she is very nice and helps me with everything. She goes slow when I need help and when I learn something we get to go to the next thing. I really like her a lot. From Anthony Lilly has an unbelievable amount of patience, and does extremely well with my son. He loves piano and looks forward to going to lessons every week. I would recommend Lilly to anyone looking for a piano teacher. Her fun but relaxed attitude is what makes the lessons so positive. She makes sure he is having fun while he learns so that makes him want to play more. From Mom May 18, 2013
