Lesson Details

I work with students at a pace that is comfortable yet challenging. Progress of each student varies. With dedication and practice any student can learn the fundamentals of music - reading, rhythm, beginning technique, elementary theory - which gives them confidence to enjoy singing and playing within a short period of time. I presently teach piano and singing lessons for beginning and intermediate students. .

About

I fell in love with music at an early age. I was fascinated with its many forms, sounds, and styles. I began singing in the church choir, talent shows and performing with various groups as a teenager. Music allowed me creative freedom and excitement and took me to a world of wonder. Attending music schools and colleges I studied voice, piano, performance technique, theory, sight singing/ear training, composition, jazz theory and improvisation, world music, musical theater, and received ... degrees in Music and Music Education. I have traveled extensively and performed with big bands, orchestras, ensembles, choirs, and a cappella groups in concerts, theater, clubs, and festivals throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. I enjoy teaching music and inspiring students.
