    About Kara A.

    My name is Kara A and I am a professionally trained dancer and elementary school educator. I studied at The Ailey School, in NYC, in ballet, modern, horton, west african, hip hop, and jazz. I also competed in Latin Hustle and Salsa, and I have knowledge of the ChaChaCha. I have a Master's of Science in Teaching from Fordham University and have worked teaching elementary school children for 3 years in New York, NY and Berkeley, CA. I specialize in teaching and nurturing children in dance and academics from ages 6-10. I love teaching beginner couples and adults all dance forms from my extensive background so they feel comfortable and confident moving and coordinating their bodies. This includes everything from choreographing a "first dance" for weddings to teaching Salsa to couples for exercise and recreation. I look forward to learning with you!
