My Specialties
We will follow a Guitar lesson plan, use practice journals, and you will learn songs of your choice. You will learn the basics of rhythm Guitar primary chords, advanced chords, power chords, barre chords, string techniques, basic Guitar music theory, picking/strumming, and alternate chord positions for sound/variety using transitions with chord progressions. I can teach most popular music styles from 1920's to current hits.

Great Teacher
Jim makes learning exciting and fun. He is very patient, and allows the student to work on any stumbling blocks for themselves. Giving direction when needed, but letting the student truly "learn" as they do it. I would recommend him to any beginner!

Guitar Lessons
Jim has given me confidence that I can actually become a guitar player. He is very patient, but at the same time he is challenging me to do more. These are qualities of a great instructor! I look forward to my lessons and I am excited to go home and practice.
Great Instructor
Jim is awesome, he is really good with children. Jackson is 8 and is learning cords and transition, having fun at same time. Jim is very patient when working with enthusiastic ( at times hyper ) young boy.

How To Sign Up
Review the TakeLessons teachers in your area. Find the teacher you like the best and either book online or call/email a TakeLessons Student Counselor to book your lessons. You will then choose a day and time that works best for you, select your lesson package and pay via credit or debit card to book your lessons.
After you have booked your lessons, your instructor will contact you within 1-2 days. This gives the instructor a chance to introduce him or herself, and make sure everything is set for your first lesson.
