Hiii, my name is Jaya, and I'm an actor with over a decade of captivating experiences on stage and screen, including performances at the renowned Alabama Shakespeare Festival. My artistic journey began with immersive studies in musical theater at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, where I actively performed at the Wold Performing Arts Center. Obtaining a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Performing Arts, focusing on Film & Television, and a minor in casting from the esteemed Savannah College of Art & Design, my educational background is the backbone of my versatile skill set. Beyond the footlights, you may have seen me in the Netflix movie “May December” and the Lifetime movie “Isle of Hope.” Each role contributes to my ever-evolving narrative as a performer. Adding a delightful twist to my journey, I've been teaching performing arts for the past 5 years. From the Alabama Shakespeare Festival to Bloom Performing Arts Center in Savannah, Georgia, and local churches, I've honed my skills in guiding students through the fundamentals of acting and the nuanced art of character development and MORE.
