    About Gwen R.

I like to see the lights go on as students understand math. My emphasis is on student understanding as opposed to memorization. I've had 25 successful and rewarding years of experience teaching math and science at the high school level. I've worked in public high schools and private high schools. I also have an extensive background in working with elementary and middle school students, as well as tutoring many subjects on the university curriculum. I have many strategies and approaches (including working with physical manipulative and computer animations) to help individualize learning, according to my student's learning style and needs. Most of all, I enjoy teaching, and I can help you enjoy learning!
