When I first started tutoring with Emily, I was not doing so well in chemistry and was having a hard time understanding the material my professor was teaching. I saw her recommended on this website and read her reviews. I can most certainly agree with the reviews other students have given her. Not only has Emily assisted me in getting better grades in my class, she has also shown me a care for this subject and fostered a welcoming, productive, and effective environment during her sessions. She really takes the time to help me understand the material and how it works together with the subject I am learning during that week. She even goes as far as reviewing material that I sent her before sessions to show me corrections and how to understand my examples from class. I also like her adaptive teaching style as she accommodates to my needs of what I want to review and how I like to learn. She also adds her expertise and knowledge of the subject to guide me to understand the material through the use of in class examples and her own provided examples. Overall Emily is very delightful to work with and celebrates my victories with me when I do well on exams, or supports me when I could have done better. She understands my weaknesses and does a good job of adapting to my style on how I want to learn, as well as accomplishing making the material understood. And most importantly I have seen huge positive results in my grade due to her sessions. I would definitely recommend her to other student who are struggling with Chem. Thank you!
