I teach beginner through advanced level guitar and I'm experienced with all age levels. I love to teach and play and I look forward to making new musical friendships!
I am open for travel to student's homes as well as teaching in my spacious home studio.

My first love was blues and rock guitar, and I now specialize in Jazz guitar and performance. I also have three years of formal classical guitar training and lots of experience playing many other styles including Latin Jazz, Salsa, Pop, Classical, Fusion, etc.

Great Instruction
Alan is very suited to teaching guitar. He really knows his stuff and is very willing to take the time to explain things in as much detail as you ask. He is also patient and will talk you through something you are having trouble with. He is keenly aware of what it is you wish to learn and gives you a complete overview to make sure you are on the same page. He will challenge you get to the next level. Alan is always prepared for the lessons and seems to enjoy teaching. I am very happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend Alan.

My daughter started her classes with Alan recently. She is 5 years old and I am extremely pleased with what she has learnt so far. Alan is extremely patient with kids and makes the classes enjoyable. He is very comfortable while teaching her and fully comprehends that kids her age can be distracted. However, I have observed that his teaching approach keeps her thoroughly engaged on the lesson and she enjoys it. I would highly recommend Alan.

How To Sign Up
Review the TakeLessons teachers in your area. Find the teacher you like the best and either book online or call/email a TakeLessons Student Counselor to book your lessons. You will then choose a day and time that works best for you, select your lesson package and pay via credit or debit card to book your lessons.
After you have booked your lessons, your instructor will contact you within 1-2 days. This gives the instructor a chance to introduce him or herself, and make sure everything is set for your first lesson.
