Clarinetist Adella is a performer and educator passionate about increasing the social relevance and accessibility of contemporary classical music. Actively involved in arts administration, education, and performance, Adella currently holds positions as the UNCG School of Music Administrative Assistant and the Ensemble Manager for the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra, in addition to teaching a small private studio of clarinet and piano students. Equally at home in solo, chamber, and large ensemble contexts, Adella is a member of the Chaos Incarné Clarinet Trio and the Piedmont Wind Symphony, and plays regularly with orchestras throughout North Carolina. As a founding member of the Chaos Incarné Trio, which exists to commission and perform works by underrepresented composers, Adella has been invited to play at the American Single Reed Summit, Hero Conference, ICA Low Clarinet Festival, and Clarinetfest.

I spent two weeks working with middle and high school band students at the UNF SMC. I worked as a counselor and rehearsal assistant, running sectionals and helping students learn their ensemble music among other duties.

Beginner piano students will learn to read music and navigate the keyboard through fundamental exercises and simple repertoire selections. This is a great introduction for adults who wish to learn some music, music students who want basic keyboard skills, or younger children beginning their first instrument. Intermediate pianists can bring in whatever music they're currently working on, or we can pick out some new repertoire for you! Clarinetists looking to acquire some basic keyboard skills are welcome to double up on lessons as well!

In this video, students will learn one octave Gb (F#) Major and Eb (D#) Minor scales. Students will see the sheet music and fingerings and have the opportunity to play along with me.

In this video, students will learn how to play one octave B Major and G# Minor scales on piano. They will learn the fingerings and have the opportunity play along at 60, 80, and 100 bpm, both hands together and separately. Use this video repeatedly to learn and practice these scales!
