I am a teacher who desires students with enthusiasm to learn. I am willing to work with all levels of gifting and am not a teacher who will make a student feel bad about mistakes, as I believe they are the secret to learning. J.S. Bach said the music was given for two purposes: the glory of God and the recreation of the human soul. I see music as a universal language because it spans all spoken languages and culture. Although I teach at an advanced level in piano, my special gift is in teaching beginning students who are inspired to learn music for themselves by my love of music and the diversity of instruments that I play and teach.

Loog guitars are an innovative approach to learning the guitar for children. They are a 3 string guitar that has the same tuning to the G,B and E strings on a full sized guitar. This allows kids to get into guitar faster and when they are ready to move up to a full sized 6 string the knowledge they learn transfers 😊🎶

For over 15 years performed regularly at the Amish Door Restaurant for 4 hour sessions and dinner theaters. I also have performed for many private gig including weddings, special events and ministry events, retirement/nursing homes, and festivals.

Music Performance

For over five years I have taught hundreds of students both at my in home studio and online with great results! My students acknowledge that I am a teacher that both inspires and motivates to learn and really cares about his students and their musical goals. I am a multi-instrumentalist and teach piano, guitar, harp, accordion, dulcimer, violin/fiddle, banjo, Irish pennywhistle, and more.

Accordion is a blast to learn and play! I specialize in piano accordion and enjoy playing and teaching from many styles of world music including: European Polkas, Slavic, Klezmer, French, Irish, and popular well-known songs including showtunes. One of the joys of playing the accordion is its amazing musical versatility and that you are always discovering new tunes on it! :)
Lessons will aim to give the student the musical foundation and tools they need to explore this amazing instrument. Focus on many style of music and an aim to work toward playing the student's favorites songs will be a primary goal in addition to having a lot of fun! :)

Jason is patient and gives immediate feedback - both essential qualities for a teacher of a senior citizen! 

I always have a great lesson with Jason. 

I absolutely LOVE training with Jason! He is a pleasure and very patient. I know most teachers get impatient with their students. Not Jason. He's encouraging and I've come to love my instrument more and more thanks to Jason. I will see if I can have my son study music with him as well.

He's the best teacher! I would recommend Jason to anyone and everyone! I really felt like I was able to make mistakes and not be worried. Some teachers push perfection and are very rigid. Jason makes the classes super fun! I can't wait for my next class.
