Bonjour, My name is Sylvan and I was born and raised in France. Tutoring French has come quite naturally to me, starting with my fellow students who needed help with their French classes, when I was an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, and then also when I was in grad school at San Francisco State University. Since I’ve moved to Los Angeles in 2004, I’ve tutored children and young adults alike, from first graders at the Lycée Français, to PhD students at UCLA. I've become familiar with the French curriculum of various local high schools thanks to the many teenagers I have tutored, and I continue to find the teaching process enriching.
