I started my own American Sign Language journey in 2012 where I found a passion for the language and the culture. Since then I have been studying, tutoring, and using the language in several different avenues of my life. During my lessons I incorporate the history of this language and information about Deaf Culture to ensure my students have a well rounded knowledge on the subject. I hold a Certificate in American Sign Language Interpreting, and completed a degree in ASL and Deaf Studies. I'm educated on the history of the language, linguistics and discourse, Deaf culture, and have beginner interpreter training experience. My goal is to not simply earn a living, but to live a meaningful life. Whatever your reason for wanting to learn I will be there every step of the way as you begin your Sign Language journey. Come sign with me! ***Please note - at this time I have very limited evening availability. Before signing up please check the calendar first, or reach out to me directly with a day/time you are looking for***
