About Brenda W.

I am a retired ELA instructor. I earned a Master of Science, Ed. from Walden University Online. While my main focus is on sentence structure and the correct understanding and usage of the eight parts of speech, I also teach reading comprehension and writing format and composition. I taught Speech 101 for 4 years as well. The teaching standard is SAE (Standard American English) I believe in building a firm foundation of understanding through demonstration and practice coupled with a complete explanation of skill sets. I realize that everyone processes information differently and at a different pace. Everyone who wants to learn, can learn. I am familiar with the theory of the seven different styles of learning which include: visual, kinesthetic, aural, social, solitary, verbal, and logical. I believe in my students because I believe in myself. With time and practice, anyone can achieve grade level proficiency and beyond.
