AP Bio can be fun and exciting when you have the right support and resources. I have taught students across the entire socioeconomic and academic achievement spectrum, and I guarantee I can help you with any learning challenges you might be facing. I will help you identify your weaknesses as a learner and how to overcome them. While our primary focus in lessons will be making sure you excel on the AP exam, I am a teacher who focuses on helping my students build lifelong skills that extend beyond any one class. I will make sure you are prepared not just for AP Bio, but all the next phases of your academic journey as well. This means building strong study habits, understanding effective and non-effective study methods, and how to make the most out of your time in school. In terms of my experience, I have a bachelors in Biochemistry and a Masters in Education with +7 years high school teaching experience. I also have a background in science meaning I have done more than just teach Biology; I have actually practiced several of the techniques you learn about in this class. Topics like microbiology can be difficult to understand at a high school level, and I utilize my background to help you understand the "why" behind topics like this. If you are interested in a career in science, I will also be able to help guide you with things like what colleges you should apply to, how to maximize your chances of earning a scholarship, what areas of science are likely to see job growth in the next 10 years, and what different career paths will look like on a day to day basis.
