I am a classically-trained and educated Cellist with deep experience playing with Symphony Orchestra’s, Chamber Orchestra’s, Ensemble’s, Quartets, and Solo. I am currently working at Loudoun symphony orchestra and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra. If your goal is to start learning how to play cello, improve your skill, to play any particular piece, get ready for any special event, develop your sight reading or just enjoy playing this beautiful instrument - I am happy to help you. I know how to find inspiration, making interesting even exercise routine, we will work at developing your artistic and professional skills and find the best way to express yourself by the cello.

Mickey V. has worked as a private teacher for the last 5 years and taught over 40 students of varying ages and skill levels. She is an enthusiastic, warm, and lively teacher who is dedicated to helping her students find their own passion for the instrument. Her overall approach is to equip the student with the technical skills, personal motivation, and creative tools to discover and develop their own voice on the instrument. She guides students towards reaching their own musical goals while also helping to influence, inspire, & expose students to new ideas, techniques, & styles.

I have been giving private piano lessons in student's homes for the past 15 years to present date. I care deeply for all of my students and helping them achieve all of their musical goals and aspirations. My lessons consist of theory, technique, sight reading, ear training, performance, and will be tailored and designed to fit each student's wants and needs. I have been teaching children of all age groups to acquire a solid foundation in violin playing. Whether it be pre-K beginners, or high school students getting ready for college auditions, I will communicate with the students and parents to set a number of goals to achieve.
I also welcome adult students, beginners and amateur enthusiasts alike.

In addition to gaining expertise in the techniques in violin playing, students in my studio will be given opportunities to gain comprehensive music knowledge including theory, sight singing, ear training, and any relevant music history, as the above-mentioned knowledge are indispensable elements in violin playing. Singing and clapping are essential parts of the lesson. When students are equipped with the basics, they can play anything and make the music they want.
