I also explained my level of experience and was assured Raycurt was qualified to teach at the level I needed, but he came off as less knowledgable than me, which was particularly disappointing.
Worst of all, after multiple hours of speaking on the phone, I couldn't get my money back for this lesson.
I'd strongly recommend not using takelessons at all, they've put a horrible taste in my mouth for their entire service.

I believe that drumming is a universal practice for joy, health, communication and discipline available for anybody...any age...any brain...any body.
I enjoy helping other people find the groove within them, strive to improve, and adapt their drumming regimen to make "the work" of drum practice feel more like the "play" of sport and meditation ... fun, free, and refreshing

My teaching style is very flexible & hands on. My goal is to make beautiful music and I do this by taking technical exercises and giving them musical meaning. This means I focus on the ideas of time, vocabulary & dynamic playings, but within this still teaching essential technical exercises in order to create a well-rounded musician.
After each lesson I will email detailed notes, as well as any supplemental documents and/or music.
About Ross
Using my experience I am able to cater my lessons to students of all abilities, be it brand new or a seasoned player. I shape my curriculum to fit the needs of each and every student I meet & my end goal is always with the goal of maximizing their creativity potential to its fullest.

Thursday Day 1, 7/23/20"

Michael is very flexible, always working with us to adjust the schedule when needed. We rented drums at first (which we were able to do through Michael - I asked, he provided; no pressure sales), but when we were ready to purchase, he helped us find the right set. Michael even helped us get a reduced price through a local music store.
I can't say enough good things about our experience with Michael. The best testimony that I can give is that my son loves to practice his drums every day, without having to be asked!"
